From building tree houses to playing in partially completed building sites; from art and architecture history classes to shooting every great gothic cathedral I could find on my first trip to England—form, materials and design have always been architecture’s greatest draw for me, regardless of period or locale, interior or exterior. I live in an historic home and designed a contemporary studio that outwardly reflects the 18th century origins of the farm. I’ve documented the stained glass windows of the original Christian Science Church in Boston, and spent hours exploring and photographing the 6th century Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The JFK Library, the Holyoke Library, the Union College Nott, the New York State Capitol Building and dozens of projects for the Mass Investment Housing Corporation have all been my pleasure to record.
